Vacation Places for Senior Citizens

As a senior citizen, you should take the time to get out and travel the country, or even the world. If you enjoy wine and are planning a vacation to California, why not think about taking a wine tour? You will get to taste the great wines made in the Napa Valley. Take a tour through the wineries to see how the wine is made from the time the grapes are picked until it is bottled.

You can take a wine tour in a classic convertible, a hot air balloon, or even on a bicycle. The company Classic Convertible Wine Tours has a 1947 Packard Convertible that will take you back in time. Your driver will tell you all about the different kinds of wines made in the Napa Valley as they drive you around the wineries. Balloons Above the Valley is a great way to see the valley from the air. You can see just how many miles of grapes are grown in the valley. You will come down to a wonderful brunch. All of these tours are informative and peaceful.

Would you like to see the great Panama Canal? Your vacation would be starting from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in a boat. Traveling through the canal, you will reach your destination at Acapulco, Mexico to enjoy the sights. This is a great way for seniors to travel outside of the country, without going too far from home.

For those seniors who are more adventurous and want to travel across the sea, you might want to visit the great country of Italy. You could enjoy a guided tour of the Coliseum while the tour guide gives you information about how it was built. While there, be sure and visit the Academy of Fine Arts.

Before you travel, be sure to check with your travel agency to learn about any senior discounts that may apply to the trip that you want to go on.
