A Mexico Vacation for Seniors

Cuernavaca, Mexico is a city known as the "City of Eternal Spring." Year round the days are mostly sunny and warm and in the evening it is cool; perfect weather for seniors. The city is surrounded by mountains providing beautiful scenic sights. The streets are of cobble stone and the buildings are of colonial architecture with great houses that are now museums, churches and restaurants. Merida, Mexico is an archeological treasure. The capital of the State of Yucatan is close to the ruins of Chichen Itza and Uxmal. There are daily tours to these Mayan archaeological sites that seniors can take. It is also considered to be one of Mexico's most hospitable cities. Seniors will love the hospitality given to them by the native people.

Oaxaca, Mexico is another city with spring-like weather year round. Rich in colonial architecture, it includes some of Mexico's finest churches, museums, and other religious buildings. Seniors will have a grand time exploring this fine historical city. This city sits on a highland plateau 5,000 feet above sea level. The main attraction are the 4000 archeological sites of which only 800 have been surveyed. The senior that loves to explore will see the wonders of the Aztecs. There are economical hotels, inns and restaurants serving native dishes. They also serve Mezcal, which is a distilled spirit similar to tequila that they are famous for.
