The organization known as the American Association of Retired Persons, AARP, is well-known for getting discounts for seniors on both travel and insurance. You don't have to be retired to be a member; you just need to be 50-years-old or older. They offer great trips, agendas, maps, fare discounts, discounts on rental cars and transportation to and from the port of departure.

Some travel agencies hire senior citizens to be tour guides. They get their trip free and are in charge of seeing that the group stays together, gets ready to leave in the mornings at the appointed time and knows some facts about their destinations. It is required that you would need to do some studying before the trip so you can also be ready with interesting facts about that they are going to see.
