Fun Places For Seniors To Visit

Seniors want to travel, and fortunately, the travel and tourism industry is getting in line with their desires and are doing things just for seniors. There are special cruises that cater to the older jetsetters. The nice thing about a cruise is that you can visit several ports, do lots of site seeing and never have to unpack. Add to that the amenities that the ship offers and you have a trip that will satisfy anyone.

Reno, Nevada has long been a hotspot. It bills itself as the biggest little city in the U.S. It is a great place for golfers, gamblers or seniors who just want to see a great show. There are special travel programs just for seniors and Reno knows just how to treat them to a great time.

Want a warmer climate? Fort Lauderdale is senior citizen heaven. The city may have the largest population of retired people in the U.S., possibly the world, and it wants them to stay. There are great places to stay with lots of golf courses. Don't golf? Not a problem as there are plenty of other things to do. You can go fishing or biking. Or take in any of the live shows or just relax at a world class spa.

For the nature buffs, Yellowstone National Park is full of beauty and interesting things to keep a senior occupied. Start with the IMAX theater and see the larger than life sites. Stay at the Old Faithful Inn. Not only is the view spectacular, but the inn itself is delightful and it is an easy drive to the rest of Yellowstone's wonders.

All said, it does not matter where a senior lives; he or she can find great places to visit anywhere in the U.S. or beyond.
