Senior Travel With Water Recreation

Water recreation is excellent for seniors. It is recommended therapy for the aches and pains that often come with aging. To enjoy water recreation, it is probably necessary to travel to a warmer climate such as Hawaii or South Florida. Both places have their advantages and drawbacks.

Hawaii is a wonderful land. The Polynesian natives are delightful and charming from their first “Aloha!” of welcome. There is plenty of water in Hawaii for you to enjoy. If it is your first trip to the islands, you probably will want to visit Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Kauai and the Big Island. That way, you will decide where you want stay for any length of time. Each island has plenty of water for recreation. Each island has its own charm and beauty. Honolulu and Waikiki are on Oahu and have much to offer, including great restaurants, shopping, hotels and a fantastic beach where you can swim and enjoy the water. You can stay in an oceanfront hotel or condo on Maui where you will be able to bathe in the ocean every day. No matter where you go in the Hawaiian Islands, there is plenty of opportunity for water recreation.

South Florida also offers many opportunities to truly enjoy water sports. If boating is your thing, there is lots of that available. Where there is water, there are fish. If you enjoy fishing, you can fish to your heart’s content. If you love deep sea fishing, Florida offers plenty of marlin and sail fish to catch. There are also plenty of places where you can fish and catch red snapper and other tasty fish. Swimming pools are plentiful in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. They are excellent locations for water therapy if you have sciatica or something similar.
