Snowbird winter destinations may take you places that are far from your home. You may have relatives and friends living in warmer areas of the country with whom you may desire to spend some time together. Perhaps you prefer to be adventuresome and are eager to rekindle new friendships. Florida’s Key West offers many water activities in the blue water and white beaches. Texas’ Gulf Coast is famous for bird lovers, yachting, and fishing. In New Mexico you can enjoy either the cold mountainous hills or remain in the valley with nearly 70 degree temperatures.
South Carolina’s Savannah experiences the southern cooking, outstanding architecture, huge mansions and more. Yuma, Arizona is considered to be one of the top locations for snowbirds. It becomes an immensely populated city upon the arrival of the snowbirds. The winter temperature is typically around 80 degrees. The Colorado River flows through this city. Yuma is one of 23 National Heritage Areas since 2000. It is situated nearly on top of the border of Mexico enabling snowbirds experiences in international and multi-cultural opportunities. Florida’s South Atlantic side and its west side are in the top ten snowbird destinations.
The west side is less expensive and golf courses are plentiful. The Atlantic side is costly and has great sunny beaches. Arizona’s Phoenix Mesas has massive RV parks with an abundance of activities for many snowbirds. Many snowbirds seek destinations with plenty of activities, warm or hot weather and a chance to meet new friends. A number of them need a safe and secure RV park that allows pets on the premises. Depending on their desires, snowbirds flock to various south, southwest and southeast destinations.
