The long days of summer are gone for this year and fall has arrived. Many seniors plan for their vacation time in the fall so they can enjoy their vacation in a more soothing atmosphere on their yearly getaway. Fall is definitely a more comfortable time of the year, not just for senior vacations but even family vacations.
From north to south, east to west, there are great vacation places to visit in the fall everywhere around the US. Places like Vermont have beautiful foliage adventures to encounter. Between August 1st and mid-October, you can search your way through the great Vermont corn maze located in Danville. There are also fantastic festivals in Dummerston. They have the apple pie festival, an all day festival that includes a fireman's pancake breakfast, handcrafted Vermont cheddar cheese, vintage treasures, and the Evening Star grange hall craft fair.
During September and October in Williamsburg, Virginia Colonial Resort, you can enjoy fine dining and comfortable lodging. Everything from history to mystery mazes, and golf to nature trails, are available. At the Historic Area shopping market, you can find numerous items recalling a time before mass production. Anything from jewelry, pottery, and home accessories to clothes and toys can be found here.
If you're in Winston-Salem between October 2 and 11, 2009, you can attend the Dixie Classic Fair. This is a popular fair that has been a classic for many years. Special events this year include the Amazing Rain Forest Experience, magic shows, the hypnotizing dog, and the Barnyard Petting Zoo, where you can even pig race. Great music and other entertainments are available, along with antiques exhibits, fireworks, and many more events to enjoy.
