Places Seniors Should Not Visit

Most seniors like to travel. Now that they have the time, the money, and their children are grown, they are free to travel. They should be sure to look into the facilities where they are thinking of visiting. If there is a lot of walking to do and trails for hiking, but they cannot do either one, this is not for them. If they are handicapped, there are plenty of places that have special arrangements for they physically or mentally disabled. Send for literature before making any reservations. Talk to the Chamber of Commerce of the area and ask them questions. They will be glad to send information because they want seniors to visit and enjoy the area.

Many seniors want to go to Europe. They should be sure the area where they want to visit would have the type of food they can eat. The local library will have books about the cuisine of the area they are thinking about visiting. Most Americans are not used to the types of food served in Europe. Be sure to check it out first.

Try a bed and breakfast. They usually have more home cooked food that would be more like American cuisine. Find out before hand if all rooms are upstairs and if the bath is shared. If you prefer motels, most have small kitchenettes so that some meals can be prepared in the room. This will not only cut down on the expense, it will give a little more time to rest before sightseeing begins again.
